The Project “Borders of tangible” is an Erasmus+ project, Key Action 2, funded by the European commission. Project implementation has officially started on 1. 11. 2021. Project duration is 3 years.
PERIOD: 1. 11. 2021 – 1. 11. 2024

The project main goals are: 

– to raise the competencies of professionals who teach blind and partially sighted student,

– raise the competencies of professionals who adapt tactile didactic material for the blind, addresses the needs of all participating partners.

With this project, we want to establish an international network of professionals who adapt materials for the blind and partially sighted, in order to acquire new skills in adapting tactile didactic materials and use their in-depth knowledge in creating a freely accessible collection.

Acquaintance of teachers who teach the blind and partially sighted with the collection and Instructions for the use of these materials will enable the raising of teachers’ competencies and the rationalization of their preparation and implementation of the learning process.

Goals:

1. Enhance the competencies of professionals teaching blind and partially sighted students.

2. Improve the skills of those adapting tactile didactic materials for the blind.

3. Establish an international network for sharing best practices and resources.

Objectives:

1. Develop a freely accessible collection of tactile didactic materials.

2. Create unified recommendations for adapting visual materials, fostering consistency and quality across organizations.

3. Train teachers on how to effectively use tactile materials, thus enhancing their pedagogical practices.

Outcomes:

1. Improved competencies of teachers, leading to more effective teaching strategies.

2. Enhanced educational experiences for blind and partially sighted students through better-adapted materials.

3. Creation of a high-quality, standardized collection of tactile materials that is freely accessible.

4. Ongoing professional development through the inclusion of new knowledge in training programs post-project.
